Our Story
Nestled in the heart of The Central Drakensberg on a Private Game Reserve just outside the small town known as Winterton, Idube Guest House is one of Kwazulu-Natal’s best-kept secrets.
Founded by Willie & Sandra Fourie in 2023, who wanted to share their love for hospitality and the beauty of nature.
In 2025, we introduced the Idube Holiday Home—a second self-catering house on the same reserve. This addition allows us to welcome more guests into the Idube experience, offering another comfortable and peaceful space to enjoy the beauty of the Drakensberg and our shared love for nature.
Today, we continue to welcome guests from all over the world, providing them with a unique and authentic experience.

Idube offers two unique homes to choose from—each designed to provide a peaceful and comfortable retreat in nature. Whether you’re staying at our original Idube Guest House, or at the newly added Idube Holiday Home, you’ll find a space to unwind, reconnect, and experience the raw beauty of the surrounding bush.
Our goal is simple: to offer a restful home-away-from-home for travelers seeking both stillness and adventure, framed by the breathtaking Drakensberg mountains and regular visits from wildlife.

The warm and welcoming face of Idube! Along with her husband Willie, Sandra owns and operates this charming retreat, dedicated to making your stay unforgettable. When you arrive, Sandra will be there to greet you with a smile, ensuring you feel right at home in their beautiful Central Drakensberg sanctuary.
She has created these spaces as an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, where you can enjoy the Central Drakensberg with wildlife all around you.
